Pals Together

Both Driver C. Balmforth, 72, Clifton Street, Denaby, and his brother-in-law, Gunner G. Lidster of 32, Winifred Road, Wath-on-Dearne, were in the Territorial Army before the outbreak of war, and are now both serving with the same battery in France.

Driver Balmforth worked at Cadeby Colliery; Gunner Lidster at Wath Main.

The former has had ten days’ leave so far; Gunner Lidster is looking forward a holiday break next month.
