Gunner Tom William Lidster (28), son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Lidster, of 228 Doncaster Road, Wath, who is serving in India, has sent the above photograph to his parents.

He is seen on the front row next to the man kneeling, while his brother, John Henry, also a gunner, is fourth from the left on the front row.

Other local men in the picture are Bombardier Foster (Swinton), Bombardier Gladman (Houghton), Gunner I. H. Bowskill (Wath), Gunner J. Hargreaves (Wombwell), and Lance- Bombardier J. Stanhope (Birdwell).

Tom says all are in the best of health and spirits, and are hoping to be home soon. All send regards to their friends
