Mrs Hargreaves, 57 York St, West Melton, has been officially notified that her brother, Sapper Ernest Mangham, aged 45, has died of wounds received in action on August 5, a month after he had returned from leave.

He was formerly employed at Wath Main and enlisted in November 1915, in answer to the special call for experienced miners.
