A former pupil of Brampton Ellis Schools, Bombardier Albert Markham (22), son of Mrs Dunn, 45, Knoll Beck Lane, Brampton, and the late Mr. Albert Markham, is now serving in a Sikh Regiment in India.

He joined the Territorials at the age of 15, and went into the Regular Army a month before the outbreak of war. He has been in India eighteen months and has just celebrated his fourth birthday in the Army.
