Soldier – Middleton P.T. – Septic Poisoning

Mexborough and Swinton Times November 24th 1917

Pte. P. T. Middleton , (Y. & L.), formerly of Wath upon-Dearne and latterly of Maltby, after nine months in the trenches was invalided from France with septic poisoning in the left leg and foot.

He has been in hospital at Dearnley, near Rochdale, and speaks well of the treatment he has received there.

Before enlistment he was a bioscope operator at the Globe Picture Palace, Maltby.
