Private Ernest Needham (York & Lancs),

son of Mr & Mrs J Needham, of Vicar Road, was also killed in the advance of July 1st.
Private Needham was 20 years of age when he joined the colours in September 1914, and has seen service in Egypt and latterly in France.
Prior to enlistment he worked at Houghton Main colliery.
