Soldier – Outram J. – Guardsman Killed on Christmas Eve

Private J Outram (Scots Guards)

Packman Road, West Melton, has been killed in action in France, and leaves a widow and six children.

He enlisted in March 2015, and went to France the following October. His widow has received from private Samuel Hibbert, on behalf of the military police of the battalion, the following letter of sympathy:

“I am sorry to tell you that your husband was killed by a German bomb while on duty with me, and was buried on Christmas Day. All his comrades of the police send their deep sympathy, and are very sorry to lose such a good comrade.”
