Mr and Mrs James Parkin, of Cemetery Road, Wath, and received news that their son, PrivateArthur Parkin has had his left leg amputated, below the knee in France..

Two of their sons, Victor and Edward have been discharged, and a son-in-law, John Thomas Smith, was killed in action in July 1916
