Trooper Thomas Edward Parkinson, of 8 Oaklea Avenue, West Melton, is serving in the Middle East with the Royal Tank Regiment.

He is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Parkinson of Gloucester (formerly of Wath) and was previously employed at a tailor’s shop at Mexborough.

Trooper Parkinson who is married is an old pupil of Wath Park Road School. He has been in the Forces about two years.
