Gnr. A.H. Simms, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H.. Simms, of Carnley street, West Melton, has been killed in action.
In a letter received from his commanding. officer, who says Gnr. Simms was killed on the 6th August, 1918, by a shell, and was buried by the chaplain in a graveyard near by the next day.
