West Melton Soldier’s Death

Private J Smith
R.A.M C.

Private Smith died in Belah (Syria) Military Hospital on December 15, of pneumonia. His parents have received a letter of sympathy from the Rev; T. Thomas, C.F. (C. of E.) who attended him in his illness, and who buried him, in the presence of his commanding officer and many of his comrades stop

Mr Thomas says: “It must be a severe blow to you to lose your son, particularly after the cessation of hostilities, but he gave his life for his country quite as much as if he had died on the battlefield.”
