Sergeant At 20

Albert South (24). son of Mr. and Mrs. S. South, of 111, Avenue Road, Wath, joined the Army about four years ago and is with the West Yorkshire Regiment.

An old boy of Brampton Ellis School, he kept goal for the school football team and later employed at Wath Main Colliery.

He was in the Dunkirk action and has just been promoted sergeant.

He likes Army life and is an enthusiastic performer at camp concerts, both singing and playing the harmonica.
