Private Clifford Spencer, son of Mrs. James Hilton, 14, Co-oporative-st, West Melton, is reported wounded and missing from April 27.

His mother would be grateful for any intelligence of him. He is 19 and enlisted last July, going to France in the. Shortly after he was admitted to hospital suffering from wounds and shellshock.

Before enlistment he was employed at the Cortonvood Colliery as store-keeper

His brother was killed in action about a year ago.
