Corporal Williams, Doncaster Road, Wath, incorrectly reported last week killed, is officially reported missing and believed to be a prisoner.

He is a married man, aged 28, and has two children. He and his family formerly resided in Swinton. He enlisted in November 1914 and has been twice wounded.

He went to France in 1915, took part in the battle of Loos. He was wounded on the opening day of the battle of the Somme 1916, and he returned to France in 1917, won the military Medal, which was one of a valuable and courageous soul work, including the capture of a patrol which comprised several Iron Cross men. He is one of four brothers serving.
