Private J Bunn (Northumberland Fusiliers) was wounded on 26 October 1914 in both arms, and was carried away captive into Germany. 14 months later he was exchanged and sent to England, and was discharged from the Army on June 3 last.

Private Bunn was a reservist of the Northumberland Fusiliers went out with the first expeditionary force. Before the war he worked at Wath Main.

His brother Private F Bunn (York and Lancs) has been wounded in the left arm, and is now in hospital in Boulogne. He has been twice wounded, once in France once in the Dardanelles. He formerly worked at Cortonwood.
