Mr and Mrs RH Clarke, 28, Sandymount Road, Wath upon Dearne, have had four sons serving in the army.

Private AJ Clarke (York and Lancaster), single, aged 27, enlisted in September 1914, and was killed in action in France on September 26, 1915. He formerly worked at Wath Main.

Lance Corporal JW Clarke (York and Lancaster), single, aged 23, enlisted in January 1916, went to France in August 1916, was recommended for the military medal in 1917, was killed in action of March 21, 1918. He formerly worked at Wath Main stop

Private HB Clarke (York and Lancaster), aged 31, a married man with one child, was mobilised with Territorials was discharged in 1916. He is employed at Manvers Main.

Private Charles F Clarke (York and Lancaster) single, aged 21, was served in France 15 months, is at present in Birmingham in hospital with skin trouble. He formerly worked at Wath Main.
