Salvationists in A.T.S.

Two well-known Salvationists now serving in the A.T.S. are Miss Olive Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gardner, the school house, and Mrs Doris Millburn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Milburn. 105, Barnsley Road, West Melton.

Miss Gardner has been in the A.T.S. for nine months and is at present serving as a driver. Previous to enlistment she was employed by Mr. A. W. Thompson (Wath). She served with the Salvation Army Red Shield Club in France and was evacuated from Dunkirk.

Miss Milburn has been in the A.T.S. also for nine months and is in a clerical department. She was formerly on the staff of Wombwell Labour Exchange. She served in the Red Shield Club during the London “blitz.”
