Another Wath Record

We have from time to time, noted Instances of several members of Wath families “doing their bit”; here is another proud record Mr. and Mrs. W. Grimshaw, of 16, Burman Road, Wath-on-Dearne, have five sons in the Army, and a grandson, Gunner Oscar Brown, also on active service.

Their sons are Cpl. Clifford Grimshaw (ten years’ service), L/Cpl. George Grimshaw (6 ½  years’ service), Bombardier Horace Grimshaw (5 years’ service), Gunner Tom Grimshaw (6 years’ service) and Gunner Harry Grimshaw (two years’ service).

Their grandson has served two years with The Territorials. Clifford has served several years in India, and like Horace, Tom and Harry, is “somewhere in England.” George is at present in Khartoum. Gunner Brown is son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Brown, 1, Market Terrace, Wath-on-Dearne.
