In Same Camp

Two Wath soldiers who went out to the Middle East together early this year are now reported to be prisoners in the same Italian prison camp.

They are Pte. Thomas Redfern (picture left) , son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Albert Redfern of 48, Albert Road and Pte. William Arthur Green (picture right), only son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Green of 121, Avenue Road.

Pte Green’s. sister, Miss Helen Green, is engaged to Pte. Redfern and in a letter to her Pte. Redfern states that her brother is in the same camp as himself.

Both boys are 21 years old and transferred from the Y. and L. regiment to the Green Howards at the same time.

They were also reported missing at the same time on June 4th.
