 Three Wath Brothers

Three sons of Mrs. and the late Mr. R. E. Edwards, 31. Burman Road. Wath-on- Dearne, are in the Services, one in the Navy and two in the Army.

Edward (Teddy) Edwards, aged 25, joined the Navy seven years ago and would normally have served his time. During this period he has seen most parts of the world and served on several ships, including the Courageous, Glorious, Royal Oak, Malaya and Jupiter.

John Dunstan (Dunny) Edwards, aged 20, joined the Forces early in the year. He had a fancy for the Horse Guards, but his weight went against him, and he was  claimed by the Coldstream Guards. He’ is enjoying Army life somewhere in England. Although in the Army “Dunn) , ” has a liking for water, and has met with success in swimming competitions.

Thomas Edwards. aged 18, joined the Territorials a few months ago and at present is a signaller in the Hallamsnires and stationed conveniently near to home.

Their father, the late Mr. R. E. Edwards, was well known in the district, being secretary of the Hollies Club, Wath.
