Home From Abroad

Two local men serving with the Forces who have recently spent 14 days’ leave at home both wear the ribbon of the Africa Star.

They are Pte. Edward Turton, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Turton, of 24, Riley Road, and Driver Frank Bentley, R.A.S.C. (21), only son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Bentley, of 11, Winfield Road, who has spent all but three months of his two years with the Forces in North Africa and the Mediterranean theatre.

Pte. Turton, who has been in the Forces for 3½ years, went to Libya from Egypt
