Barry Whitfield, talented young boy soprano and only son of Mrs F Whitfield and the late Mr W Whitfield, Boswell Road, Wath on Dearne, has passed the Grade IV (Lower) singing examination of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London.

Barry fell only four marks short of Credit standard.
