The Hustlers
Councillor J Braithwaite and Mr M R Swift and Mr W H Roberts constituted a subcommittee of the Wath Urban District Council to carry through a contract for 108 houses at West Melton which had been abandoned by the contract, and by appointed subcontractors they got the houses built and completed within the meaning of the subsidy terms in nine weeks, saving the ratepayers, in subsidy of £6000.
Incidentally they completed the houses at a lower cost than the contract price.
