George C Brown (42), engine tender, of 10, Brewery Terrace, Wath, pleaded guilty at Rotherham on Monday stealing 36 bottles of beer worth 21s. , the property of Mrs Whitworth’s Son and Nephew limited. He was fined £1 and ordered to pay for the beer and 10s costs.
A 17 year old Wath youth pleaded guilty to stealing, along with two 16 year old youths, and a 15-year-old youth, 10 dozen bottles of beer were 39 10d.

The 17 year old youth also pleaded guilty to stealing two dozen bottles of beer worth 14s.

The 17 year old youth was fined £1 and ordered to pay 14s were for the beer. The other three youths are each bound over, ordered to pay 10s. for the beer and  5s each towards the costs.
