Threatening a Wife at Wath.
John Hall, of Wath, was summoned by his wife Martha for having threatened her.
Mr Hickmott prosecuted, and Mr. Gichard defended.
The parties had been married two years. At the time of the marriage complainant had three children and defendant had six. Their married life, it was stated, had not been a happy one. Complainant summoned her husband in September, 1869 for threatening her. When he was sober there was no particular cause of complaint ; but, when he was drunk, it was alleged he was like a madman, and did not know what he was doing.
Defendant agreed to be bound over in £10 to keep the peace for six months.
