Wath’s Easy Win.
Rotherham Offer Little Opposition.
Deighton and Hargreaves played a big part in Wath’s easy win over Rotherham.
Wath batted first and although Hargreaves was well taken by Woodward when he had scored 11, B. Senior (47), and S. Ellis (45), went on to give Wath a comfortable position. J. Swinburn batted steadily for his 46.
With the exception of Brown (27), and H. J. Turner (16), the Rotherham batsmen could do little against the Wath bowling and were dismissed for the low score of 88. Deighton took 4 wickets for 22 runs and Hargreaves 4 for 18.
