Wath Athletic 3 Doncaster Rovers 2
Although Doncaster were leading 2-0 at halftime against Wath Athletic there had been very little difference in the play of the two teams.
The home backs left Topham to the mercy of Butler on three occasions, and this fleety centre forward made no mistake with his final shots on two of them.
In the second half the Athletic were aggressive from the outset, Holt scoring after ten minutes. The equalising goal was also the outcome of a well-placed centre by Dixon, which Nuttall converted, and the third came from a brilliant shot by Holt from near the touch line, Wath thus winning 3-2.
