Wath Athletic won in great style and were full value for their 4 – 1 victory over Boston, ‘only the difficult conditions preventing much higher score.
Only on a few brief occasions did the visitors penetrate the Wath half.
Hargreaves gave Wath the lead after fifteen minutes, which was increased by Williams and F. Moore in this half.
After the change over Moore got another and raid by Boston brought a goal from C. Richardson.
The Boston goal had many narrow escapes in the last thirty minutes.
