Wath Athletic C.C. in 1922.

The recent death of Yorkshire’s Cyril Turner has prompted a reader most kindly to show us the accompanying photograph of Wath Athletic C.C. in 1922.

In that season they were fourth in the Yorkshire Council table (Played 19, won 13. lost one. drew five) and they won the “Times” Cup. Cyril Turner is seen in the centre of the photo immediately behind the trophy.

The names of others will recall many pleasant memories for old Wathonians.
