Wath Debut
Audrey Watson (picture) makes her first appearance with Wath Theatre CIub as an actress in “Rebecca” which the society are giving at Wath next month
She will play the part of the second Mrs de Winter. Miss Watson, a 21-years-old secretary has an A.L.A.M in acting which she obtained early last year, and is now studying for the Associateship of the Drama Board “Rebecca” will not be Miss Watson’s first connection with the Theatre Club for she assisted with the production of their last play. “Arsenic and Old Lace.”
As Mrs. de Winter she will play opposite Richard Walker, who, as Maxim, will be making another appearance with the club. Mr. Walker’s last appearance at Wath was in the Ralph Lynn part in “Cuckoo in the Nest.”
Completing the Wath cast will be George Tomlinson (as Frith), Rene Greenwood (Mrs Danvers), Vera Robinson (Beatrice Lacy)., Phillip Norwood (Giles Lacy), Walter Birkby (Frank Crawley), Kenneth George (Robert). Beryl Paine (maid) Ronald Drury (Jack Favell), Edward Wilkinson (Mr. Coleman Fortescue). Sybil Norwood (Mrs. Coleman Fortescue) Peter Hall (Colonel Julian) and William Leadley (William Tabb) The producer will be Mary Vernon.
