Wath Head Leaving

After being headmistress of the Park Road infants School, Wath on Dearne, for nearlv 30 years. Mrs. Gertrude Thomas has given notice to terminate her engagement in the new year.

Mrs Thomas took up her headship when the school was first formed.

She has alwavs taken keen interest in sport and was formerly a prominent member of at Wath Athletic Club’s tennis team.

At present she is secretary of Wath Golf Club.
