Wath Main Mishap: Two in Hospital

Two men were detained in hospitals on Wednesday after being injured at Wath Main Colliery.

Joseph Thorley (40), of Newhill Road. Wath, was admitted to Mexborough Montagu Hospital with injuries to back and legs and Ernest Pycock (65), of Alexandra Road. Mexborough, was taken to the Fulwood Annexe of Sheffield Royal Infirmary with facial injuries.

His condition was last night stated to be “fairly satisfactory.”
