Wath Miner Fatally Injured

23-years-oldWath miner, Kenneth Henry Pickard, married, High Street, was caught by a fall of stone from the roof in the Silkstone seam of Manvers Main Colliery on Tuesday. He was taken to Montagu Hospital, Mexborough where he died shortly after admission.

He leaves an 18 years old widow.

An inquest will be held at Mexborough, to day (Friday).
