Wedding at Wath.
On Tuesday afternoon last the marriage of Mr Smith Kershaw, of Bradford, to Miss Agnes Jane Waite, second daughter of Mr W Waite, of Wath upon Dearne, took place at the Parish Church. The Rev: E. E. Farrer was the officiating clergyman. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr F. W. Waite, of Sheffield, and Miss Waite and Miss Gertrude Waite were rushed the bridesmaids. Mr Joseph Kershaw (Bradford) brother of the bride’s groom, acted as best man. The bride was dressed in grey cloth trimmed with white silk and ruched chiffon and wore a white straw hat with orange blossom, satin ribbon, and chiffon and carried a lovely bouquet, composed of white roses, lilies, stephanotis, lapageria, marguerites, maiden hair, and asparagus ferns, with white satin streamers. The bridesmaids were dressed alike in blue cloth, trimmed with white satin, covered with water coloured lace, and wore white hats to match.
At the close of the ceremony, Mr G. M. Coates, the organist, played Mendelsohn’s “Wedding March.”
A considerable number of relatives and friends assembled in the church. The presents were both numerous, costly, and useful.
