The marriage has taken place of Pte. T. Smith, eldest son of Mrs. S Robinson and the late Mr.J. T. Smith, Thornleigh, High Mr Street, Wath, and Miss Jean Gillespie Brown, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brown, Shortroods Road, Paisley, Scotland, at the Wesleyan Church Hall, Paisley.

The bride wore a dress of duck blue, with sliver fur, hat and shoes to tone. Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Perrin, who wore a dress of new clover with fur, hat and shoes to tone, and Kathleen Robinson, who was dressed in blue taffeta halo and white shoes.

The best man was Mr. H. Smith and the groomsman Mr. V. Robinson, both brothers of the groom.
