Wedding: Cpl. D. G. Viccars (Wath) and Miss J. Smith (Brampton)

The wedding took place at Brampton Bierlow Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Millicent Smith, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W Smith, 22, Cliff Road, Brampton and Cpl. David George Viccars R.A. only son of Mr. and Mrs. David Viccars, 95, Oak Road, Wath-on-Dearne.

Given away by her father the bride wore a gown of ivory figure satin, with long veil and coronet of orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of red carnations and lilies of the valley.

She was attended by Miss Audrey Smith and Miss Nancy Viccars, Mr. A. Warren was best man and Mr. L. Nicholson groomsman.

After a reception the couple left for Bridlington
