Mexborough 151 for 6 Rockingham 19 for 1
A brilliant innings of 71, including seven fours and one six by T. Hargreaves, Mexborough’s veteran all-rounder, was the feature of the game with Rockingham at Mexboro’ on Saturday, which was drawn. Mexborough declared at 151 for six. They made a poor start, losing their first two wickets for 13 runs. T. Hargreaves and A. Auty (36, including seven fours), made a third wicket stand of 73, and the former also featured in a fourth wicket partnership of 43 with C.E. Bayes (14).
Rockingham with had scored 19 for one when the game ceased. For the visitors, G. Grant took 4 for 39.

Thorncliffe 101 Denaby & Cadeby 93 for 3
Thorncliffe and Denaby met on Saturday, at Thorncliffe. When the time limit was reached Denaby only required nine runs to win, and had seven wickets in hand. Denaby had the assistance of R. Sale the former Oxford University batsman.
Thorncliffe started badly, their fourth wicket falling with only 26 runs on the board. The fifth wicket added 30 runs and the innings closed for 101. E. Marshall was top scorer with 31. and H. Kay bad 25, C. Davis 19 and Ronnie Howson 10. R. Sale and I. Greenwood out on 85 runs for the first Denaby wicket. When stumps were drawn Denaby had scored 93 for three (R. Sale 50, I. Greenwood 37).
Brampton dnb Elsecar 136 for 6
A Brief but attractive was the cricket at Brampton on Saturday when Elsecar were the visitors. Elsecar scored 135 for 6 in the game was stopped. J Northcliffe 835 not out and Elsecar. Winch four for 60
Swinton 75 for 2 Wath dnb
Swinton had made 75 for two when their match with Wath was abandoned. LN Bedford made 27 before being dismissed and G Barnett was undefeated for 12.
For Wath Fieldsend took two for 26.
