Mexborough and Swinton Times July 1, 1928
Perhaps Stanley Green, aged 12, of 2, Oakland Terrace, Wath, is the youngest qualified ambulance man in the country.
It is two years ago since he began taking S.J.A.A. courses, and last year he gained a certificate and was presented with a wristlet watch. On Thursday night he received another certificate, and was complimented by some of the leading ambulance men in the Wath district at the distribution of certificates, etc., won by members of Wath Centre of the Association, in the Mechanics’ Institute.
Stanley’s father is Mr. Samuel Green, a well-known ambulance worker and trainer of frequently successful Wath Main competitive teams.
