Death of Mr J. Waneck In Canada

The death has occurred in Fort San, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, of Mr. Joseph Waneck, well known in Wath-on-Dearne through his marriage some thirty years ago to Miss Lily Webb, daughter of  Mr. William Webb and the late Mrs. Webb then of Burlington Terrace, and sister of Mr. William Ellis Webb, of Chaucer Road, Mexborough.

Born in Bohemia 63 years ago. Mr. Waneck made his home in England, where he became a naturalised Englishman. He went to Canada seventeen years ago and settled in Moose Jaw where he conducted a tailoring business.

He served with the Royal Air Force as a 2nd Engineer during the Great War, enlisting in London. He was a member of the Canadian Legion B.E.S.L., Moose Jaw Branch At one time Mr. Waneck was in business at Western Bank, Sheffield, and later in Regent’s Park, London.

He is survived by his widow and two sons, Stanley and Douglas, who are now living at Imperial Apartments, South Kill, Moose Jaw, and by his father, who is living in Bohemia. The funeral took place at Broadfoots’ Funeral Horne.
