Murder Charge Remand
A further remand in custody for a week was ordered at Rotherham West Riding Magistrates Court last Friday when George H. Chapman (52), miner, Firth Road, West Melton, again appeared charged with the murder of Ellis Dransfield (38), a labourer also of Firth Road.
It was Chapman’s third court appearance since his arrest.
Inspector K. Coates said the police had not been notified of a date when the Public Prosecutor could proceed with the case.
