Mr WN Tyas, Wath, secretary of the Dearne Valley School Sports Association, who organised Monday’s programme, and who have supplied 16 boys for the Yorkshire County Schools team in the last six years.

Mr Tyas’s organising ability is demonstrated in the remarkable success of the Dearne Valley Old Boys Club, who have carried all before them in the competitions in which they play, and will provide a prolific nursery for the middle in the first laps club.
