Another Thriller At Wath

The game at Wath kept excitement high to the last ball. Bolton started in a manner that promised high scoring. The total was 51 before the first- wicket partnership was broken with the departure of Alban Turner. But after that Tom Hargreaves dominated the proceedings and he took 9 wickets for 46 runs. No other Wath bowler got a wicket: for Mitchell was run out.

Wath did not look like passing the moderate total Bolton made, till a late stand. by Wilson and Pearce pulled them round. Albert Smith again played a notable part, for he made nearly ‘half the runs and, going in. first was the eighth man to fall. Revill took 3 wickets for 19 runs for Bolton. Scores:
